Maybe a baby? Maybe a mommy? Or, just a little copy-cat?

So last week we watched our little nephew Jeshua for a few days while his mom and dad went on an anniversary trip to California.  Aiva was in heaven!!!  She is so obsessed with babies and any children really...   It's funny because a lot of times she likes to think that she is the same age as the kids that she is around.  But, she  also wants to be the mommy... dilemma, dilemma!

She is just the sweetest little girl around - especially for how stubborn and indepentant she is.  She takes such good care of her babies.  Always giving them their bottles and sharing her sippy cup and food with them, taking them for walks, and putting them down for bed and naps.  She was the same with her little cousin. (Well not so little - they are 10 months apart but they weigh almost exactly the same.  She is pretty tiny and he is a cute little chunker.)  She loves going on walks and really enjoyed sharing them with Jeshua.  We don't have a double stroller, but we layed her seat back and put him behind her.  She kept looking back to check on him and make sure that he had his binky, as well as turning around to give him kisses.  Poor guy was loved almost to death!  =)  I wish we would have taken a picture of them in the stroller - so cute!  When she would wake up the first thing she would ask is "baby go?"  Which means "Where did the baby go?"  The funny thing was when his mom got back and was feeding him a bottle Aiva saw and wanted to be held the same way and had me "feed" her the sippy cup.  =)

She just started nursery about a month or so ago and she just loves it!  So far she is the only girl, but there should be another one coming in the next month I think.  She has absolutley NO problem with us leaving her there.  Many times she would prefer not to claim us as her parents - or to claim that she has parents at all.  =)  The boys do not share her sentiment and actually don't like when their parents leave them.  So she goes into "mommy mode" and trys to comfort them and share her babies with them.  Even though she prefers the babies most of the time she does really enjoy playing with cars and balls.  She is tough and not afraid to jump in and play with the boys.  We just love our little girl so much and so enjoy watching her learn and grow!  She is perfect and we love seeing her strong personality develop more every day!

Anyway, Here are some pictures of our little independant girl.

She never sleeps with a pillow, but Jeshua does and so she had to keep the pillow in her crib for this nap.  He, like most of us sleep on top of the pillow... but little miss liked having the pillow sleep on top of her.  =)

This is her having to be a big girl and sitting up to the table without her booster seat.

And this is what we get to clean up after a pudding snack because with ALL food now she has to feed herself.
